Formerly Special Adviser to the President of the Republic in charge of gender issues for seven (07) years, Euphrasie Kouassi YAO has been Special Adviser to the Prime Minister, Head of Government, since April 2023, still in charge of gender issues.

Seule femme titulaire d’une Chaire UNESCO en Côte d’Ivoire, la Chaire UNESCO « Eau, Femmes et Pouvoir de Décisions », elle est experte consultante internationale en Genre et Développement.

For thirty (30) years, she has been working to support the Ivorian government, and was asked by the African Development Bank (ADB), in August 2015, as well as United Nations agencies such as UNDP, in 2013, UNFPA and UN Women, among others, to conduct missions.
